We are hosting an online seminar marking Human Rights Day to highlight education as a human right, and critically examine how major challenges, such as climate change, jeopardise the fulfilment of this right for all, drawing on recent insights from COP29.
The event will feature key speakers, including a youth advocate as well as human rights and education specialists, with contributions from the Right to Education Initiative, Education Cannot Wait, and Education International. Our distinguished speakers will examine education as a human right, its guarantees and responsibilities of states and other stakeholders, and will explore the threats climate change poses to education sharing insights from COP29.
