On 11th October, the world celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child. Established by the UN General Assembly, this day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.
Together with Plan International Ireland, we’ve celebrated#GirlDay with an insightful online seminar on 16th October, 12:30pm UTC+1 (Irish Time), which promises valuable insights from global experts and youth advocates. Resources from this event can be found here.
The online seminar “Girls in Crisis – The Impact of Conflict on Girls’ Learning” highlighted how conflict impacts girls’ education.
